Control Dust at Lorry Loading Point

On heavy industrial sites, for instance quarries, conveyors are often used to load materials into lorries or railway vehicles. As the material has to fall from a height, the dust can escape from the material and be carried by wind away from the vehicle.

Renby have designed a special system for this application that protects the whole of the vehicle body, effectively generating a cloud above the vehicle which prevents dust from escaping and thus suppressing & controlling the dust.

Fog leaves your load dry

We are often asked about the amount of water that would be mixed with the load. This is minimal, even if all of the fog entered the material (which it won’t – a lot will flash evaporate), if it took 10 minutes to load the lorry, less than 0.25% by weight of moisture would be added. In reality, this figure is more likely to be less than 0.1%, negligible for most materials.

Due to the flexible design of the fog control system, it can be designed to interface to the conveyor control system, to activate when the conveyor starts. Alternatively, the driver can operate the fog with a radio remote control, so that the fog only operates when the vehicle manoeuvres into position.
